About amie

Amie Valore-Caplan uses words and pictures to tell inspirational stories for people of all ages. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her fabulous spouse, four fascinating children, two barky dogs, and four clucky chickens.

What seems like long ago, Amie earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from Brown University. More recently, she earned an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. She’s been a long-time member of the Rocky Mountain chapter of SCBWI, too.

Where to find her when she’s not writing and illustrating? If she’s not behind a book in the cozy chair next to the towering stacks of books, check the children’s sections of the library and the bookstore. Not there either? Then she’s probably outside, soaking up sunshine and the natural world, looking for inspiration for her next creations.
